Village Yoga is a studio in the center of Newfane providing a broad range of classes for beginners to more experienced yogis. We offer yoga group classes, meditation classes, private sessions for groups or individuals (onsite or in your home) as well as advanced studies in yoga, buddhism, and yoga teacher trainings.

Getting and staying motivated to move can be challenging, especially during our shoulder season of mud and sticks. This workshop will shift the mindset from a dreaded obligation to a welcome compulsion. We'll change the vocabulary of "exercising" to "being active" and the "no pain, no gain" to "have a ton of fun"

INTRODUCTION TO ALEXANDER TECHNIQUE
Tuesdays starting March 19 - April 16
MARCH 19 is FREE

This series of five, hour-long classes will explore the basic ideas behind the Alexander Technique, an educational method used worldwide for well over a century. With hands-on and verbal guidance you'll discover ways to use less energy and tension in all your activities.
The class is suitable for any age. A certain amount of mobility—the ability to lie on the floor, sit, stand, and walk – is helpful but not essential.

Essentrics is a full-body workout that will activate and rebalance all of your muscles, free your joints, and increase your mobility. Essentrics draws on the flowing movements of Tai Chi which create health and balance, the strengthening theories that create long, lean, flexible muscles, and the healing principles of physiotherapy which create a pain-free body.

Buti Flow is a low impact, high energy movement practice combining elements of yoga, resistance training, functional strength building, cardio dance, barre, and vocalization. Open to all levels. No experience necessary.

INTRODUCTION TO SOMATIC BREATH

Come learn about the incredible resource of your own breath. Lying down and connecting your inhale to your exhale increases the Prana (Life Force Energy) in your body. This breath practice helps to decrease anxiety and depression, strengthens the ability to regulate emotions and the body's stress hormones, plus so much more.
