We are looking for an integral member of our top-notch retail team. If cheese is your main squeeze or craft beer is your jam, consider the Mad River Taste Place – a Waitsfield-based specialty grocery store featuring a curated collection of products from Vermont and beyond. We champion our makers and act as ambassadors for the artisanal brands represented throughout the store.
In this full-time position, you will be instrumental in the day-to-day operations of our robust, well-established retail business in the Mad River Valley. Key responsibilities include providing stellar customer service in representing the Taste Place; sampling, educating and selling customers our well-curated cheese assortment and other speciality grocery products; managing inventory and maintaining displays that are eye-catching and invite shopping and conversation; stocking and replenishing our displays so the store always looks full, inviting, and appealing; and contributing to the all-hands-on-deck philosophy of our staff.
We are looking for an experienced candidate, or an individual who has a passion for and curiosity about cheese, beer and wine, and other specialty foods. A positive attitude, leadership skills, ability to hustle and Saturday availability is a must.
