After tending to family members in past years, Jo Bregnard started sharing everyday selfcare experiences with others online through a variety of practical tools—yoga, mindfulness, acupressure, breathwork and more—to give them the support they need so they can continue doing the things that bring joy and connection. Besides yoga teaching certifications (a 200-hour and a 300-hour with a focus on therapeutic essentials), Jo has done additional study in a wide variety of areas. She also has level-II certifications in Reiki, Thai yoga bodywork and Yin Yoga, as well as three decades of experience in aromatherapy. Additionally, she's certified in Meridian Therapy and the Traditional Chinese Medicine Five-Element Theory, and she's currently exploring Acupressure Bodywork and Qi Cultivation. Jo is also a Kripalu Mindful Outdoor Guide, so she enjoys weaving lessons learned from the natural world into time spent both on and off the mat. She teaches online and in person, offering private and group classes and hosting holistic retreats.

If you live with pain, anxiety, depression or have had trauma in your life, your body and your thoughts may not feel so welcoming. They may feel like a home you want to run away from or ignore. Let's work together to change that during a long weekend of movement, mindfulness and more August 9-12 with selfcare mentor Jo Bregnard and special guest osteopath Colleen Jorgensen.

Gather in an environmentally friendly lodge The Boston Globe calls "impeccably maintained," enjoy 20 km of hiking and biking trails, refuel with nourishing local food, and connect with a kind-hearted and easy-going community—and of course, yourself!

Take in the trees and meadows on Wild Trails' 472 private acres through morning mindfulness and meditation sessions. Explore rhythmic gentle yoga, embodied somatic movement and the concepts of Traditional Chinese Medicine (yin and acupressure) during mat-based classes. Then after some fun creative play, at days' end find deep nurturing through restorative practices, fireside councils and conversation, followed by yoga nidra for sound sleep.

In between, enjoy satisfying meals and delectable treats crafted by our friends at Heritage Deli & Bakery. And spend your afternoon traversing 20 km of hiking and biking trails (with the help of Wild Trails' exclusive mobile GPS app), swimming in one of the ponds, browsing nearby artisan shops, or napping in a hammock. You'll go back to your day-to-day life feeling fully re-energized, rested and supported … and with useful tools and goodies to keep the benefits of this retreat with you.

The rate for this long-weekend retreat covers all group sessions and meals, plus fun surprises! Register for this unique retreat by June 1 for $525 and enjoy recordings of the movement classes to watch again and again, wherever you call home. Don't wait—there are only 3 of these day pass spots still open!

FREE class! This isn't the leg-behind-your-head postural yoga popular on Instagram, it's a practice for everyone that can be done just about anywhere--even while working on other tasks--to help you navigate your world. First we'll learn the origins of yin, with its roots in Daoism and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Then we'll move right into trying some simple yin shapes--with options for props and differing capabilities--as we explore the theory behind the practice.

You need only a space large enough to lie down on the floor, plus anything that makes you more comfortable physically--chairs, pillows, blankets, yoga blocks, etc. Once we've reviewed the basics, we'll have the opportunity to add in extras like acupressure, hand shapes, etc., to enhance the experience. By the end of our time together you'll have a variety of techniques for balancing your hectic schedule with a do-able physical and mindfulness practice, in just a few minutes each day. Expect to be left with physical openness, mental clarity, and an overall sense of calm.
