I photograph in natural light, free from the confines of a studio, because I believe outside is where we all thrive. I don't know anyone who prefers the walls of an office and fluorescent lighting to a breeze off a lake, or the smell of pine trees, or the warm sunlight of an open field. Being outside makes everyone feel better and that translates to beautiful photographs. Plus, if you are booking me for a family shoot, I have learned enough from raising my two sons to know that a little room to run around goes a long way!

I love including elements of the landscape in my images, and can work with you to incorporate places and activities that are significant to you: a favorite park or lake, the motorcycle your dad taught you to ride, an old barn or building you love. I can also pull from a number of locations I regularly use to provide simple and beautiful backdrops for your portrait if you don't have a specific location in mind. Either way, the results will be stunning images that can be hung on your walls for years to come.

My goal in taking pictures is to tell the story of who you are at this point in your life, to capture your relationships and your passion for the places and things you love.
