According to organizers, the singers and instrumentalists will perform vocal or instrumental solos and ensembles across many genres and time periods. Special guests from Boston, Brad Amidon will sing, "Welcome to the Renaissance" from the Broadway musical, "Something Rotten" and Clarinetist Michelle Markus, will perform Canzonetta by Gabriel Pierné.
Connie Vial Green on flute and Rachel Johnson, piano, will perform Teleman's Sonata in G Major; Terry Sylvester and Sue Owings will sing a camp song medley; "Skip-A-Beat" will present by Kachina Lee-Autenrieth, Barbara Lee and Lorianna Weathers on bass xylophone; "One Note Off" to be sung by Fred Breunig; Andy Davis and The Quebecois Woodshed Group will play dance tunes; Mary Alice, Peter and Arthur Amidon, will perform "One Song"; Katharine Breunig will sing "Happiest of Times with Dinah"; Carole Crompton will contribute a vocal solo; Mary Grove will present Sonata in F# minor Movement 1 by her late mother, Brooke Triplett Grove. Bill McKim will play 2 Portraits Etudes composed by Sergei Rachmaninoff; Rachel Johnson will perform "Night and Day" by Cole Porter and a piano solo by Peter Nero; Julie Peterson and Jack Wesley will sing "Over the Rainbow".
No advanced ticket sales. A donation (cash or check) of $15-$25 for adults is suggested; $5 for children and students. Complimentary lite refreshments will be served following the concert downstairs in the Zeller Hall. All proceeds from the concert series benefit the church, which is handicapped accessible, air conditioned and actively supports numerous local programs and organizations serving the wider community.
