We needed to upgrade to fiber internet during the pandemic to support our small business and e-learning for our 4 children. Living in Moscow, Consolidated Communications was our only option at the time. To make it affordable for us, we were forced to purchase 2 phone lines (which we never used) with the fiber internet. Our monthly cost was $300 per month. At the end of our 3 year contract Consolidated raised our pricing by an additional $140 / month without notice. This increase was on the phone lines which we never used. I reached out to Consolidated 5 times and each time I got the same response: "Someone from the business department would call me back." After 4 weeks we had still heard nothing, felt defeated, and taken advantage of.

Stowe Communications to the rescue! They had a new fiber line installed and working within two weeks and their customer service team was responsive, on time - even early- with there scheduled visits, and worked seamlessly with Vermont Electronics to ensure my existing infrastructure work perfectly.

The best part is my internet is twice as fast for under $150/ month.

It is great to see a locally owned small business can still out perform a large corporation. Even better that in a small rural town like Stowe we have our very own local service provider. Check them out!!!
