I'm writing all tucked up close to the woodstove this (frigid) morning. We had -17 on our weather station here Up South! This morning while the boys and I took down our Christmas tree Keith went and picked up 30 new ducks. This will bring our group of laying ducks up to around 80! We're slowly increasing our flock of laying chickens, too. Everyone is currently tucked in, staying warm in their high-tunnel. It's amazing how warm it gets in there on these sunny winter days.
The farm stand at Flatlander Farm (2148 VT Rte 17) is still open daily 8 am - 8 pm. Our "Open" sign out by the road was a bit tattered so we took it down and are expecting a new snazzier one! We have a few new exciting products! Check out the list below:
Currently available in the farm stand:
-bone broth / stock
-fish (from Starbird Fish)
-ICE CREAM (from Lu-Lu Ice Cream!! it's SO good)
Please let us know if there is anything specific you would like us to carry.
Stay warm and safe out there,
Lisa Burritt Drinkwine & family
