The Chittenden County Welcome Corps (CCWC) is a group of dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers that has formed to sponsor refugees who want to come to Vermont. The Welcome Corps program is administered by the U.S. State Department.

Once we have raised sufficient funds, the State Department matches us with refugees we will begin the welcoming process. We will welcome new arrivals at the airport, assist in securing housing and employment, assist with initial expenses including rent, utilities, and...

Once we have raised sufficient funds, the State Department matches us with refugees we will begin the welcoming process. We will welcome new arrivals at the airport, assist in securing housing and employment, assist with initial expenses including rent, utilities, and groceries, help ensure that they receive health care and other benefits, help with transportation to appointments, provide opportunities to learn English, introduce them to their new community and generally offer them warm and comprehensive support as they forge new lives here in Chittenden County.
