The Cambridge Historical Society and Museum is a 501(c)(3) educational not-for-profit museum, provisionally Chartered by the New York State Board of Regents. Our members volunteer their time, talents, and commitment to serve on the Board of Directors, research and design exhibits, lead house tours, produce programs and events, research genealogy and history, and fundraise for the preservation of the house, the collection, and our programs. We do so with the intent to preserve and share the history of Cambridge and the surrounding area for the enjoyment, education, entertainment, and enrichment of our community.
Some highlights of the collection include 19th Century furniture, Revolutionary and Civil War memorabilia, and extraordinary examples of 18th and 19th century textiles.
We save our history to honor our past, and our engaging programs and fun social events help to make history present for the community. We welcome new members and volunteers.
