The Monkton Museum and Historical Society is planning a special event at its regular monthly meeting on Monday, October 17th at 7:00 p.m. at the Town Hall. Everyone is invited to bring photos of Monkton to the meeting and to talk about those photos. We are not looking for early Monkton photographs. We are now almost 17 years into the 21st Century, so the focus of this effort is the second half to the 20th Century. If you have photos of the Monkton landscape or of events in Monkton from the 1950s to 2000, please consider attending the meeting. We are especially looking for landscape photos of areas that have significantly changed over the past 67 years as well as buildings that have been lost. We are also interested in any special events, including family events. Interior photos of public buildings during special events, such as at the Town Hall and churches, are also of interest.

Computer equipment will be present to scan any photograph that the owner is willing to allow the Historical Society to have an electronic copy of for its files and in turn future generations.
