The Act 46 Study Committee has placed "Article 1" on the November 8th ballot. This is for the consolidation of BCEMS, BTMES, SHS and BSU boards into one board.

A public forum will be held on October 20th at 6pm in the Chorus Room at Spaulding High School to discuss the Final Report, the input from the Agency of Education, and to present an overview of the process. This process will allow the Barre City and Barre Town communities take advantage of State-issued tax credits amounting to $4.2 million and there are additional cost savings are up to $200,000 a year from operational efficiencies. This also increases educational opportunities, which can be discussed more in-depth at the meeting.
