DOES THE SPIRIT WORLD COMMUNICATE WITH THE LIVING WORLD? More than a century ago a movement called Spiritualism became prevalent in societies around the globe. Seances were conducted to hear messages from beyond the pale through a liaison or "medium." Vermont had its practitioners and among them was the remarkable Eddy family of spirit mediums from Chittenden, Vermont, who were world-famous. The Charlotte Historical Society and the Charlotte Library are teaming together to bring Milton, Vermont speaker Jacob Smiley to THE CHARLOTTE LIBRARY ON TUESDAY, OCTOBER 25 AT 7 PM to talk about the Eddy family and to demonstrate some seance techniques.
