Author George Lakey's latest book is Viking Economics: How the Scandinavians got it right and how we can, too. He's on a Vermont tour now, explaining how Scandinavians built powerhouse economies with five weeks vacation a year, paid parental leave, free health care and higher education, and more—and how we can do the same. It's at the Montpelier Unitarian Church vestry, 7 pm.

I'll be introducing him with some reflections on the Scandinavian social systems from my time living in Sweden and Norway.
