Hardwick Elementary is starting to plan the Second Annual River of Light! Thanks to generous supporters, this was a wonderful event last year and we hope to make it a tradition!
The Second Annual Hardwick River of Light will be held on Thursday, December 15th starting at 6pm. The evening will begin with a short concert by the elementary students. Starting around 6:30pm, the SD Ireland Holiday Lights Truck will lead us through town on a lantern parade.
We are seeking Community Participation in many ways:
- Help HES Students create their lanterns! When we get closer to the event, we will send out information about student lantern making times at school. Adult help is appreciated to assist students!
- Carry a Lantern! If your child made a lantern last year, please bring it to the event and carry it during the parade (we will have the poles for carrying!) If you need a new light for inside, you can purchase them for $1 OR we can replace the battery in last year's light for FREE!
- Make a Lantern! There will be an Adult Lantern Making Workshop on December 3rd - 4th. This is for ALL area community members - we will provide the materials and help you create a masterpiece. This is open to beginning all the way to expert artists!
- Support the River of Light!
