Autism & Justice

Past event
Oct 24, 2016, 2 to 4 PM

Kimberly Quinn-Smith is a recognized expert on autism, and will give a workshop on October 24, 2-4 pm at GOODRICH Library, Newport, VT designed especially for professionals and volunteers within the justice system and those who surround it. This is a rare opportunity to learn from a lively, engaging and knowledgeable presenter on this topic. As Quinn-Smith says, "I have a lot of tricks up my sleeves, and everyone is going to leave as an expert."

People with autism often present challenges to attending officers, court personnel, restorative representatives and others in authority. This workshop will help us all recognize the characteristics of autism, and learn how to best approach them for the best outcomes. Please register in advance for this free workshop, offered to you by Orleans County Restorative Justice Center. Can't attend? Please send someone in your place!
