French Conversation Club for Middle School Students

Past event
Oct 11, 2016, 4 to 5 PM

Bonjour tout le monde,

Is your middle school child studying French? Then, this opportunity will interest you!

My name is Baptiste, I am French and a French teacher. On Tuesday, October 11th, from 4 to 5 pm, I will hold the first of a weekly French song and conversation club for middle schoolers (grades 6 to 8). The club will be held in the Community Room (basement level) of the Fletcher Free Library in downtown Burlington. It is free and no registration is needed. Each session will start at 4 pm with the listening of a song in French, with practice activities and help understanding the lyrics and the cultural background behind the song. Casual conversations in French will ensue for middle schoolers to practice their oral French. Fun atmosphere :-)

(I will soon do the same for high schoolers too, and will let you know in due time).

I will be happy to share great conversations en français on Tuesday! Feel free to pass the message along to friends, or to email me back with questions.

Note: I hold no liability whatsoever; letting your child attend the club should be considered the same as leaving your child unattended in the library. The door of the meeting room will be left open the whole time, and even though parents are kindly requested not to sit at the table with us so that the atmosphere is middle schooler friendly and students feel comfortable talking French, parents are welcome to peek in through the open doors at anytime. Attendants are welcome to leave at any time if they feel uncomfortable.
