The Monkton Friends Methodist Church Harvest supper is Saturday, 10/15 from 5 to 6:30. The meal will feature baked ham, homemade baked beans, mac and cheese, coleslaw, rolls, squash, and an apple crisp with vanilla ice cream The price is $9 for adults and $5 for children over the age of three. A number of years ago we started the tradition of donating a percentage of our profits to a group or organization doing good works for people in our local area as well as across the country. Over the years we have helped families impacted by Tropical Storm Irene, other natural disasters, cancer, and addiction. This year we will be donating one third of the profits from this dinner to the Monkton wood bank, an organization helping to ensure that no one in Monkton will go cold this winter.
