This coming Thursday afternoon, stop by the Community Center to meet and speak with Democratic candidates hoping to represent your voice in Montpelier or Washington, D.C. Congressman Peter Welch will kick off a brief speaking program at about 5:40pm. Most of the event will be devoted to conversation, not speeches.
Please come! And, please help spread the word – no rsvp needed!
George Till and Trevor Squirrell, candidates for the statehouse from the Jericho-Underhill district, will be at the event, in case you miss them as they come around the district this fall.
Besides George, Trevor and Congressman Peter Welch, you will have a chance to speak with T.J. Donovan, candidate for Attorney General; Vermont State Auditor, Doug Hoffer; Secretary of State Jim Condos; Treasurer Beth Pearce; Senators Ginny Lyons and Tim Ashe, and Senate candidate Chris Pearson.
David Goodman will be there on behalf of his wife, Sue Minter. Unfortunately Sue has a conflicting commitment for the evening*. Likewise, David Zuckerman has a conflict, but is hoping to stop by early in the event.
If you’d like to help, sign up to bring a plate of goodies at http://signup.com/go/h7vKbB or email Beth Esmond (bethesmond@gmail.com) or Ann Till (atill54@gmail.com).
But, the most important thing is to come! Speak with the folks who are working so hard this fall to win their elections. They would very much like to hear from you, and you might find it refreshing to take part in civil policy and political conversations about building a stronger and more just state and federal community for all of us!
The Jericho and Underhill Democratic Committees hope you’ll come!
Thanks!
*PS: The Richmond Democratic Committee is hosting a reception for Sue Minter on Sunday, October 16th, at the Monitor Barn, from 3 to 5pm, with donations invited. For information or to RSVP, contact Annie Mendes, at annie@sueminter.com or (802) 242-0565
