The Flying Stage at ReSOURCE- Barre, 30 Granite St., is proud to be part of the statewide tour for Bess O'Brien's newest film All of Me, Saturday Oct 8th. The film is focused on those who are caught in the downward spiral of eating disorders. Join us for an evening of viewing this film, and meet some of those who have opened their lives up to begin the community conversation to understand and support individuals and families dealing with these disorders. Read a thoughtful conversation that Flying Stage friend Ricka McNaughton had with Bess:

"It's more than the food, it's more than the weight, it's everything that LIES beneath."
All of Me delves into the pervasive ways that food, dieting, and body image affect all of us on a daily basis. Many of us may not be diagnosed with an official eating disorder, yet still struggle with our own histories and insecurities regarding food and bodyweight. The film captures vividly their struggles to regain a sense of self-compassion and healing, and the struggles of the parents who have watched their children fall victim to this devastating disease.
Bess O'Brien's last film, The Hungry Heart, highlighted the opiate epidemic in Vermont. That film toured extensively throughout the state, and has been screened across the country over the last three years. With this new film, Bess offers hope to those who face a different struggle--people who, with care and understanding, can ultimately recover and reclaim their bodies, their emotional connection with others, and their own self-image.
