Civil war expert Howard Coffin will give a program on "Vermont and the Civil War," including details about the contributions of Middlesex and Central Vermont soldiers and families. From Cedar Creek to Gettysburg, Vermonters were central to the Union cause -- come learn something new about this fascinating chapter of American history. The event will take place on Monday, October 10th at 7:00 p.m. a the Middlesex Town Hall (corner of Route 2 and Church Street). Free and open to the public. This is a Vermont Humanities Council event sponsored by the Middlesex Historical Society.
