Come join Chef Richard Witting and Tea Master Ben Youngbaer (Moi) for a unique tea and food pairing. This event begins our four part exploration of the old Tokaido Road, famously illustrated by Japanese printmaker Utagawa Hiroshige.
Each dinner will take us further along the road as we travel throug the seasons. This first dinner will take us along the Tokaido as we visit the first 15 stations—from Nihonbashi Bridge in Edo (Tokyo) to Yoshiwara (Fuji, Shizuoka). We will reflect each of these stations in our dinner, making this a 15 course dinner!
As Setting Sun Tea House is a very small space we will having two seatings, one morning, and one early evening. The evening seating will include a sampling of sakes and other such beverages in addition to tea and food.
