“Blithe Spirit,” the hit comedy by Noel Coward, will be presented by The Dorset Players on October 7,8,14 & 15 at 7:30 PM and October 9 and 16 at 2:00 PM at the Dorset Playhouse. Directed by Dom Degnon and produced by Lynne Worth, this much revived classic offers up fussy, cantankerous novelist Charles Condomine (played by Evan Pringle) remarried to second wife Ruth (played by Elisabeth Hazelton) but haunted (literally) by the ghost of his late first wife, the clever and insistent Elvria (played by Christy Vogel).

Elvira has been called up by a visiting “happy medium”, one Madame Arcati (played by Mona Wightman) during a séance with the Condomines and their neighbors – Dr. Bradman (played by Mike Cutler) and Mrs. Bradman (played by Janet Groom). Rounding out the cast is the new and nervous maid, Edith (played by Erin Norton).

Tickets are available on line at dorsetplayers.org or by calling 802-867-5570. The box office will be open Tues-Thurs, October 4-6, and Tues-Thurs, October 11-13 from 3-6 PM and 2 hours before each performance. A reception will be held on opening night, Friday October 7th.
