Manes Prophet-Kathleen Kennedy's songs are emotional, dark and lingering. Accompanied by Jacob Lepkoff, the music of Manes Prophet is an expression of loss and grief which strives to be both entrancing and cathartic.
Jesse Lepkoff’s songs are hard to classify- Driven by the subtle and exotic harmonies of Brazilian bossa nova and bluesy 30’s styles, his songs can be funny or romantic, poetic or ironic, have the sophistication of art song, or the knee-slapping earthy humor of 30’s jazz and blues. His set will include the rarely heard harp guitar.
Walker DiTrani and Alex Sela -The Sela DiTrani Duo is an amalgamation of both melodic and calculated classical guitar composition coupled with the fevered improvisation of the gypsy jazz tradition. Mainly original compositions written by Alejandro Sela, as well as old traditional Django Reinhardt tunes lead by Walker DiTrani of the DiTrani Brothers.
As an added bonus at 4:00 tea will be served along with Jesse's cake in the house just prior to the concert in the studio!
