Join us next Friday, October 14th, for a pot luck dinner followed by a talk by George Lakey, a world renowned activist and author from Pennsylvania whose recent book called Viking Economics is selling out at bookstores all over the country. The book describes how the economies in Scandinavia work, but more importantly how the people managed to get the economic changes required, and how we can do it here. After his talk at 6:15, Rik Palieri will serenade us with his authentic brand of folk music inspired in part by Pete Seeger and Utah Phillips.
The pot luck is our monthly event known as Fajita Friday - bring your favorite filling or side dish for fajitas, which are Mexican tortillas rolled around an assortment of great food - onions, peppers, seafood, steak, chicken, vegetables, tempeh, guacamole, etc. Bring your bathing suit if you like to soak in the hot tub, and/or a musical instrument if you like to play along. The suggested donation for the music is $10 - $15. We will be passing the hat.
