The final Family Fun Day of the 2016 series is this Sunday, October 9th, beginning at 3 pm!
Now that there’s a chill in the air and the leaves are turning, it’s time for an autumn celebration. Bring the kids to the Old Town Hall for fall-themed activities and projects, followed by seasonal stories and songs with locals Janet and John Poeton. As no celebration would be complete without snacks, there will be plenty of wholesome apple, pumpkin, and cranberry treats for all.
John and Janet Poeton are retired educators, and known among the area’s elementary-aged children as the storytellers at the Orange County Parent-Child Center’s popular Pagama
Story Hours. Janet worked at the Brookfield School and John as the Vermont State Language Arts Consultant, then an independent consultant. He is presently the Librarian at York Branch of the Aldrich Library. They are both energized book lovers and enjoy sharing books with folks of all ages.
This final Family Fun Day is free to all attendees and is generously sponsorsed by National Life Group Foundation. All donations will support the maintenance and restoration of the Brookfield Old Town Hall.
