The Addison Independent and Addison County Chamber of Commerce are sponsoring a forum for candidates competing in the Addison-4 and Addison-5 House districts. The forum will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 4, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Mount Abraham Union High School. The Addison-4 district includes the towns of Bristol, Lincoln, Monkton and Starksboro. Republicans Fred Baser and Valerie Mullin and Democrats Dave Sharpe and Mari Cordes are competing for the two available seats in that district. The Addison-5 district includes Bridport, New Haven and Weybridge. Republican Harvey Smith and Democrat Taborri Bruhl and vying in that single-seat district. Please come to learn about the candidates and the issues, and remember to vote on Tuesday, Nov. 8.
