The Northfield Conservation Commission will host a hike to the summit of Paine Mountain on Saturday, October 8th. Meet at the Green Mountain Family Medical Practice at 9:45 to begin hike at 10:00. The hike is approximately 6 miles long with an elevation gain of 1400', moderately steep, and should take about 4 hours. It will be a good opportunity to visit the Northfield Town Forest and see the new trail signage provided by a local Boy Scout eagle project. All are welcome, but please leave dogs at home.
