ITALIA! Opera Gala October 15 & 16

The Vermont Philharmonic and conductor Lou Kosma, in collaboration with the Bel Canto Institute of Florence, Italy, will present an evening of Italian operatic arias and instrumental selections. From the opening brass chords of Verdi’s Overture to La forza del destino to the final notes of Tchaikovsky’s lyrical Capriccio Italien you’ll be taken on a grand tour of all the emotions and feelings generated by these timeless melodies. The concerts will feature Bel Canto Institute winners Justin Burgess, baritone, and Karen Frankenstein, soprano.

Concerts will take place at the Spruce Peak Performing Arts Center in Stowe on Saturday, October 15 at 8:00 pm, and the Barre Opera House on Sunday, October 16, at 2:00 pm.
