This Saturday, October 1st at 5:45 pm, come sample soups from area restaurants at our Third Annual Souper Supper fundraiser with the Randolph Area Food Shelf. The event will feature hand-crafted ceramic bowls, soups and breads from seven area restaurants, and home-made desserts.

The early start time will accommodate those attending other events in the area later that evening – enjoy a hearty havest soups and bread dinner with dessert before heading out!

This event is sponsored by the Frankenburg Agency of Randolph and will benefit both the Randolph Area Food Shelf and the Brookfield Community Partnership.

For a $25 donation, you'll receive your choice of beautiful glazed pottery soup bowl, your choice of three ladles of soups, bread, and home-made dessert. For just $10, you may sample three soups in a paper bowl, with bread and dessert. Purchase extra pottery soup bowls for $15, and extra dessert for $2.50. There'll even be take-home soup for $5/pint and $10/quart.

And we'll raffle off one beautiful large pottery bowl, perfect for soup or salad serving.

Then Sunday, October 2nd from noon to 3 pm, is the annual Floating Bridge Food and Farms Cooperative’s Harvest Market Day, with a silent auction and Brookfield Library used book sale. Join members of the Floating Bridge Food and Farms Cooperative for an afternoon of snacking, sampling and shopping inside Brookfield’s Old Town Hall.

Local, seasonal fresh farm produce, pasture-raised meats and poultry, caramel, honey, maple syrup, herbal teas, flowers, pickles, canned items, beeswax candles, soap and much more will be on offer at this festive, seasonal market.

Come for lunch or snack to fuel your shopping, as delicious farm-fresh, ready-to-eat items will be available including your last chance this season to taste some of the delicious Mexican Cantina food, prepared by Chef Lee Duberman of Ariel's Restaurant and served at the market.

Shoppers are invited to stop in to peruse the Old Town Hall Silent Auction to bid on tempting local crafts, gift certificates and seasonal gifts, many of which have been donated by members of the Cooperative. All proceeds from the silent auction will support the renovation of Brookfield's Old Town Hall. While you're there, check out the Brookfield Library Used Book Sale.
