The annual Community Senior Art Exhibit 2016 will take place at the Red Mill Gallery, Vermont Studio Center, 80 Pearl Street from October 2nd through October 15th. The gallery is open daily. The public is cordially invited to attend a reception with the artists on Sunday October 9th from 2 to 3:00 PM. Confirmed artists to date are Laura Brueckner, Greta Ingalls, Gloria Mobbs, Simone Cromier, Elaine Scott, Barbara Backus, Carol Davis, and Caroline Lamb.
Throughout the year a group of senior citizens join together on Tuesday mornings at the Johnson Municipal Building to indulge their artistic abilities. Whether working in oil or watercolor, printmaking, sculpting or decoupage, the artists share helpful hints, friendly critiques and good company. The group was formed 16 years ago by community members who enjoyed the camaraderie of creating art together. Members are from Hyde Park, Waterbury Center, Cambridge, Morrisville, and Johnson.
