Williston Trail Walk

Past event
Sep 29, 2016, 5:30 to 6:30 PM

Please join us on Thursday, September 29th at 5:30 PM for the second of three guided walks on Williston's primitive trails. Williston Conservation Planner Melinda Scott and Williston resident/farmer Michael Isham will lead a walk on the Oak View Hill trail, located on the Isham Family Farm off Oak Hill Road. Highlights of this trail include a beautiful small pond and a wooded knoll from which there are outstanding views of Bolton Valley, Mount Mansfield and Camels Hump to the east and Lake Champlain and the Adirondacks to the west. This family-friendly walk will be about 1.5 miles. During the walk, Michael Isham will share some of the history of the farm and how it became permanently protected.

We will meet at the Oak View Hill trailhead at 5:30 PM. From the 4-way stop in Williston Village, go south on Oak Hill Rd. approximately 3 miles. The trailhead parking area is on the west (right) side of the road, directly across from Fieldstone Drive. For more information or to RSVP, contact Melinda Scott at 878-6704 or mscott@willistonvt.org.
