Summer Forestry Series: Natural Disturbances

Past event
Oct 6, 2016, 7 to 8:30 PM

Natural disturbances play a critical role in the development of our landscape, with impacts from extreme disturbances visible in our forests years later. Come join Steve Long in understanding how these events have shaped our region, particularly the hurricane of '38 which still impacts our landscape today. Steve is the co-founder and former editor of Northern Woodlands Magazine and author of the new book "Thirty Eight: The Hurricane that Transformed New England." The Galaxy Bookshop will be providing his book for sale and signing at the presentation. All are welcome and the event is free!
