Isolé Dinner Club English Literature Series: Beowulf

Past event
Oct 2, 2016, 4 PM

Please join us around the fire to hear the tale of Beowulf and learn of Anglo-Saxon England, Scandanavia, and the Danelaw. Guests will be provided with a five+ course historical dinner prepared by chef Richard Witting and a beverage tasting curated by historian Adam Krakowski of Yankee Brewing News. The story of Beowulf, the history of the text, and a reading of the Old English text will be presented by UVM Professor Chris Vaccaro.
The specific location (in the Burlington area) will be announced to ticket holders the week of the event.
Beverages provided will be tasting quantities. The event is otherwise BYOB and a list of recommended / appropriate beverages will be e-mailed to ticket holders the week before the event.
Menu will not be published prior to the event. Please state any allergies upon purchasing ticket. This dinner will not be able to accommodate strict vegetarians, vegans, or gluten-free eaters.
This will be a small dinner, only 20 seats so don’t hesitate if you’re thinking of joining us.
