Join us at the Hinesburg Fire Department for our third annual Safety Fun Day, Saturday Oct 1 10:30 to 2:00 followed by the Duck Race in the canal.
Children at soccer? Come over from the fields. It is only a short walk from the field behind Town Hall.
Join us for food, fun and games. Rides on old Engine 1, Dunk Tank, bouncy house and much more.
The Hinesburg Community Police will be available for child/infant seat inspections.
At about 2:00 or shortly thereafter, we will be going over to the canal by the post office and releasing the ducks for their annual swim to 116.
Don't forget to purchase your chance in the Duck Race to be held shortly after 2p, in the canal. The race will start at the Post Office bridge on Commerce and end on the west side of the 116 canal bridge. Prizes are $50 first, $25 second, $10 third and $10 for the last duck to finish.
Ducks may be purchased Papa Nicks, Hart Mead, Jiffy Mart, Aubuchon Hardware, Lantman's and Element Nail Salon. Ducks will be available for sale until Saturday, October 1, shortly before the race or until all ducks are sold. The cost is $2 each, 6 for $10.
