Proctor Planning Commission
Community Forum
The Town of Proctor Planning Commission will hold a Community Forum on Thursday. October 6, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. at the Proctor Free Library, 4 Main Street, Proctor, VT 05765 to accept public comment regarding a request to change the zoning designation of the land along South Street. The land along South St is currently zoned residential. A request has been made to change the zoning designation of this area to Agricultural-Commercial.
The implications of this proposed change are as follows.
Should the zoning designation of this area change to Agricultural-Commercial, the following additional uses would be considered permissible, in addition to residential uses (once required permits are obtained): car washes, gas stations, machine shops, offices, retail, extraction industries, open and closed storage, veterinarians with and without boarding, and wildlife refuges.
The Proctor Planning Commission welcomes and encourages your feedback on this proposed change. You may submit comments at any time via email, phone, or written letter to the contacts below. You may also voice your comments in person. The Planning Commission expects to adopt a final version of the zoning ordinance by the spring of 2017, so it is imperative that we receive your comments at the forum, or at your earliest convenience.
