Parent Meeting (mandatory for participation) Sun. 9/25, 6:30-9pm
Where: Unitarian Church of Montpelier (the curriculum is secular), 130 Main St. in Montpelier
Why: Honest, accurate information about sexuality changes lives. It dismantles stereotypes and assumptions, builds self-acceptance and self-esteem, fosters healthy relationships, improves decision making, and has the potential to save lives. Most school sex-ed programs fall far short, as we know if we had them in school. This programs helps address issues that are challenging for parents to know how to address, many involving the internet and social media. Read one teen's testimonial about how OWL helped her. www.uuworld.org/articles/best-worst-sex-ed
How: Please register email ucm.dre@gmail.com to RSVP for the parent meeting this Sunday. We need to get the class size up to at least 8 youth, and are currently only at four, so please forward this to others who might be interested. There is also an event page on the Unitarian Church of Montpelier's Facebook page.
