Acclaimed Children's Author Visit Nov. 4

Past event
Oct 4, 2013, 7 to 9 PM

Hello All,
I shared a post last week about an upcoming lecture by best-selling children's fantasy author William Alexander. I left out the date! So please note that on Monday, November 4 from 7-9 p.m. at 359 Turtle Lane, Shelburne, Alexander will deliver an adult-oriented public lecture on the power of fantasy to create personal and social change. Don’t miss this glimpse into a writer’s vision of how imagination can and does change the world. The lecture is $5 at the door.

You can also meet Alexander on Saturday, November 2, when the Flying Pig Bookstore is hosting a book reading and signing by Alexander at Shelburne Town Hall at 4:00 p.m. This is the only place to get a signed copy of Alexander’s book! RSVP for this event by calling (802)985-3999 or emailing flyingpigevents@gmail.com

Alexander is the winner of the 2013 National Book Award for Young People’s Literature and a Waldorf alumnus. He is the author of "Goblin Secrets" and "Ghoulish Songs". He is a young and highly acclaimed middle-grades writer in the steampunk genre, with some Vermont roots: Alexander earned his English Master's degree at UVM before turning to writing full-time. Please contact Abigail Diehl-Noble with any questions at (802) 985-2827 or aDiehlNoble@lakechamplainwaldorfschool.org.
