This 30 minute documentary by filmmaker Bryce Douglass integrates the artistic vision of Sara-Lee Terrat with the history of the Waterbury State Hospital and the inspiration of Green and Gold, a poem written by former patient, Jean Killary. The resulting mural is installed in the the atrium of the new Waterbury State Office Complex and incorporates images and documents into the final work. The film provides insight into the artistic process, archival perspectives of the Waterbury State Complex and glimpses into Jean Killary’s life and captures the depth of historical and emotional content of this artistic endeavor. Q & A follows with the artist and filmmaker. Background on the project can be found at: http://www.vermontartscouncil.org/blog/green-and-gold/
