Write Your Own Press Releases: Oct 3 & 5, M&W 4-6 p.m. (4 hrs); $45
Harness the power of advertising through press releases. Participants will learn how to structure a story and write a lead, attribute information, and use correct journalistic style, as well as ways to use titles, photos, and captions to capture attention. Students will also consider audience and newsworthiness to increase exposure. Each participant will practice writing and revising a press release for print.
