Conducted by Dr. Yutaka Kono, the Vermont Youth Philharmonia opens its season with a program that bridges some of the greatest symphonic works of the 19th century to now. Students will perform The Tempest by Robert W. Smith, Richard Wagner's Overture to Rienzi, and Gustav Holst's Jupiter-Bringer of Jollity. John Williams' medley from Indiana Jones closes out the program.

The Vermont Youth Orchestra welcomes Edward Cumming as he opens the season with a program featuring works by beloved composers. VYO senior soloist Isaac Hilton-VanOsdall performs Alessandro Rolla's Viola Concerto in Eb Major. Other favorites include Gioacchino Rossini's Overture to La Gazza Ladra, Jean Sibelius' Finlandia, and Antonin Dvorak's moving Symphony No. 8 in G Major, opus 88.
