Local pediatrician Jack Mayer, award-winning author of Life in a Jar: The Irena Sendler Project, will present a talk, “Weimar Germany and the Rise of the Third Reich” featuring his new book, Before the Court of Heaven. The book release event will take place Thursday, September 22, 7 p.m. at Ilsley Public Library, 75 Main Street, Middlebury and is free and open to the public. This event is sponsored in part by The Vermont Humanities Council (VHC) and presented in partnership with Ilsley Public Library.
