On Thursday, September 22nd, at 1:30 pm at the Richmond Free Library, Dan Bean will tell the story of the orphan trains that transported young children with no families to towns all over the country. They were to be handed over to local couples and an unknown future. In November, 1905 Enosburg, Vermont was one of the destinations for these children. Dan Bean is an Orphan Train Rider descendant and retired St. Michael's College professor.
