Community Book Discussion Monday Sept. 19

Past event
Sep 19, 2016, 7 AM to 8:30 PM

Thinking about racism? Please join us for a 4-part community discussion of the book "Waking Up White and Finding Myself in the Story of Race" by Debby Irving (2014). The author is a racial justice educator who was born in 1960 into a white family in a wealthy Boston suburb, and she writes very frankly about how much she had to unlearn and learn about being white. We'll meet Monday evenings in Barre from 7:00-8:30 - on September 19th & 26th, October 10th & 17th - at SPA (Studio Place Arts), 201 N. Main Street. Facilitated by "Community Conversations on Racism". For more info contact Kim Kie in Barre at 802-476-8156 (pastorkimkie@gmail.com).
