Great World Religions: Islam (Professor John L. Esposito - Georgetown University)
Wednesdays, September 21 – December 21 at 1:00-2:30
In 12 DVD lectures, moving from 7th to 21st centuries, this course will explore Muslim faith, practices, and history. Professor Esposito will help attendees understand Islam's role as a religion and a way of life, as well as its deep impact on world affairs across time and in the present. Perhaps especially today, it is important to understand what Muslims believe and how they exercise their beliefs individually and as members of a larger community.
This free course, facilitated by Joe Mark, will be offered at Castleton Community Center. No registration necessary--just show up willing to learn and participate!
