Goals of this meeting: Adopt a committee vision for guidance; review and revise principles as enunciated in the AOE worksheet goals; review and revise public presentation bullet points.

6:40 - Timing of final decision regarding including Roxbury as advisory - discussion and action.

Roxbury has an exploratory meeting with Montpelier in late September and a district board meeting October 10th. This committee must determine a final date for us to decide on including Roxbury as an advisable district to a merger report. Upcoming meeting dates for this committee are October 5th and 18th. Superintendent Gossens will brief the committee regarding Roxbury's current status regarding their discussion with Montpelier. Discussion for this committee will include what we need from Roxbury and what constitutes a reasonable and workable time frame. See the committee minutes from 05/03/2016 (available at NorthfieldWilliamstownMerger.us and attached to the agenda packet) for information regarding previous committee decisions on this subject.

6:50 - Merger study report – formally adopt a vision (create a starting vision statement); revisit and refine the principles as enunciated in the AOE worksheet goals. Time permitting begin setting out goals for the merged district.

Opening proposal for a vision statement: Excellence in educational outcomes through a system that expands opportunity and equity through existing and new and innovative programming. Please review our previous work on the AOE worksheet (available at NorthfieldWilliamstowMerger.us and attached to the agenda packet) and come prepared to discuss this issue.

8:00 - Forum discussion to include bullet points for presentations; forum schedule, format and locations; public comment.

We will share, expand upon and refine bullet points for use in public presentations. If possible we will begin developing a calendar for committee level public forums. See the minutes of 09/07/2016 (available at NorthfieldWilliamstownMerger.us and attached to the agenda packet) for information regarding the committee member assignments.
