Join the Fight for Fifteen!
Vermont has been a progressive state in many arenas. However, the state’s minimum wage does not come anywhere near a livable wage. Vermont legislation mandating an increase to only $10.50 in 2018 leaves us behind states and cities, such as New York, California, and Seattle, which have committed to moving to a $15 per hour minimum. That’s far below what Vermonters need!
Fight for Fifteen is one emerging coalition that wants to move Vermont to $15 per hour. Join us as we plan strategies to move this state forward. Our next meeting is September 21st at 6pm in the Whitney Young Junior Room at the Unitarian Universalist (UU) Church at the head of Church Street in Burlington.
