For about an hour there will be an event celebrating and honoring the International Day of Peace (IDP), a day established by the United Nations in 2002 and celebrated throughout the world. The local IDP event will take place at the Unitarian Church of Montpelier 130 Main St. Montpelier and will feature several brief presentations by local 'peace makers,' interspersed with an international video, an ad hoc peace ensemble, a sing-a-long, a hymn, a poem, and a dance.
