Richmond Farmers' Market Friday - Sept. 16

Past event
Sep 16, 2016, 3 to 6:30 PM

Amazing variety and awesome harmonies at the market this week! This week's musical event is being sponsored by Bolton Valley.

This week we’ll have a great variety of all your favorite farmers market products, from fresh veggies, to all kinds of baked goods to crafts that make great gifts.

Our farmers will have their seasonal varieties, including dandelion greens, garlic braids, hot peppers, new potatoes, sweet potatoes, sweet corn, fennel, sweet peppers, herb bunches, ginger, live herb starts, seasonal berries, chicken, bacon, lamb sausage, beautiful cut flowers, and though it might seem early, but you’ll probably even be able to find a pumpkin or two!

If you’re looking to have dinner while listening to the music and watching our amazingly talented face painter transform your kids into the animal of their choice, we’ll have lots of options. Savory meat and veggie pies, bureks, grilled cheese, quesadillas and tacos, wood fired pizza and small plates and artisan flavored popcorns.

We’re also loaded up on baked goods this week, with a vast variety of breads, buns, rolls, full pizzas to take home, and sweets, including maple syrup, candies and cookies, sweet hand pies and pistoli.

If you have any birthdays or anniversaries coming up, you can grab a beautiful hand painted card along with some handmade local soaps, a gift certificate for massage and yoga, beeswax candles or fun sock creations for the kids.

The Richmond Cub Scouts will be holding their Round Up for new scouts, stop by their booth if interested!

The Brevity Thing will be taking the stage at 5:00. The Brevity Thing is a labor of love for four very busy and talented musicians. Coming together for a special event in 2014, the band -- featuring Dave Ball (guitar, harp), Jom Hammack (mandolin), Sue Schmidt (drums) and Steve Goldman (upright bass) – realized they had an amazing mixture of immediate friendship and incredible music, and the Brevity Thing was born. Blending together a myriad of musical styles, featuring strong vocal harmonizing, musical spontaneity, choice "cover" songs, and a few wild originals, at a tBT show you’re never quite certain what is going to happen next but it will be fun!

The Richmond Farmers Market is open from 3:00-6:30 every Friday on Volunteers Green in Richmond. Come and meet your Local Growers and Buy Local.

Help our parking problem! If you can't walk or bike to the market, find additional parking in the back lot behind the field or up the street at the Town Offices.
