On Sunday, September 18, Saint Francis Xavier School will dedicate its new Cross Walkway to Monsignor Richard Lavalley in honor of his 25 years of service to Saint Francis Xavier Parish and School. This will be followed by a community barbecue in the parking lot between the school and the church. A section of St. Peter Street directly in front of the school will be cordoned off during the dedication -- from approximately 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Neighbors to the west of the school will still be able to enter and exit St. Peter Street at the North Street end, there just won't be through traffic for that brief period. Because the parking lot will be used for the barbecue, there may also be more cars than usual parked on the streets in the vicinity of Saint Francis Xavier Church and School in late morning or early afternoon. Many thanks to our wonderful neighbors for being so understanding. Please e-mail info@sfxvt.org if you have any questions about the event.
