Dear Friends of Stark Mountain,
The leaves are beginning to change, there's a nip in the air, and Green and Gold weekend at Mad River Glen is just around the corner! Join us for the 18th Annual Stark Mountain Hill Climb Run on October 1st 2016, part of Green and Gold Weekend at Mad River Glen Ski Area.
$25 pre-registration on Eventbrite, or $30 on the day of the race beginning at 8:30 AM at the Mad River Glen base box.
Start Time: The race begins at 10AM, please arrive 30 minutes prior.
The course: is one way from the base lodge to the summit of Stark Mountain, just above the historic single chair, a 2000 vertical climb, or linear mile, straight to the summit.
Route: is runner's choice on service roads, ski trails, grass, rocks and/or dirt. Entry fee includes a ride down the single chair!
Cash awards: Cash to male who breaks the male course record (Dave Dunham, 2007, 23:51:05), or female who breaks the female course record (Audrey Huffman, 2010, 29:40:35)
Prizes: We will be giving away a few sweet prizes to category winners and a many raffle items
Duathalon: Enter the 18th Annual Allen Clark Memorial (Bike) Climb up the Appalachian Gap on Sunday, October 2nd, and qualify for awards as a duathlete. Proceeds from the bike climb benefit Vermont Adaptive Ski & Sports Association.

Proceeds: go toward the preservation of Stark Mountain, home of Mad River Glen. The Stark Mountain Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization formed to preserve and protect the environment and ecosystem of General Stark Mountain, including its recreational access and historic value. We rely on the generous financial support of people like you who value the mountain's many resources to enable us to continue our work.
